Moderate Exercise Improves Cardiovascular Health
Posted on: 10/17/2005

Researchers at Duke University Medical Center have found that even moderate exercise significantly can improve fitness levels. In a study of sedentary, overweight men and women, researchers found that 12 miles of brisk walking each week reduced the group’s risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Although participants in the study did not lose weight, researchers maintain that people who do not exercise and maintain the same diet can gain up to 4 pounds each year.
