Beginning next year, McDonald’s Corp. will begin including nutrition facts on the packaging of most menu items. Icons and bar charts will be used to show how particular food items compare to daily recommendations for calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and sodium. McDonald's says it expects to have the new packaging in place at two-thirds of its restaurants worldwide by the end of 2006.

Nutritional information currently is available on the company’s Web site and on printed material at restaurants.
