You’ve skimped, you’ve sweated, you’ve lost weight. In order to keep those pounds off, researchers at Brown University Medical School suggest stepping on the scale every day. In a study of 291 people who had lost an average of 44 pounds in the previous two years, only 39 percent of those who weighed in daily regained five pounds or more, compared to 68 percent of those who weighed themselves less frequently.
Intensive support and contact with weight-loss counselors also were cited as important factors in helping dieters maintain their weight loss.
